Tarpons and Torpedoes   Swim Teams

New Territory hosts two swim teams, the Tarpons and the Torpedoes. This is not a learn to swim program, swimmers must have the ability to swim the length of the pool(25 yards).  These teams swim at the highest level of competition in the Fort Bend area and swimmers are consistently finalist at the regional meet held each summer. Each swim team may accept a maximum of 200 swimmers according to regional rules. Practices will begin in May.  The teams alternate practice sessions between The Club pool and Ellis Creek pool. Practice venues and times are posted on the individual team websites as follows:

Awards are given to swimmers when meets begin for Tarpon of the Week and Hardest Worker of the Week.  They have several things to choose from i.e. pie in the coaches face, breakfast with a coach, gift cards, toys etc.
