Welcome to Sugar Land's Best Kept Secret - The New Territory Women's Association (NTWA)! I am so happy that you have joined us for food, fun, friends and more! We are a diverse group of women with a variety of interests joining to gather to learn from one another and give back to the community.
Our organization was started in February 1996 thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Shaan Tippett. We currently have 120 members, with membership available to New Territory residents as well as non-residents. Our members are from various walks of life. Some of us are married while some are single, some with young children, grown children or no children at all... Some of us have been in the organization since it's inception although some are brand new to the group. We offer daytime and nighttime activities, so you are sure to find something that fits your schedule.
We have three general meetings each year in September, January and May, and group activities are held monthly. We try as a whole to have monthly socials which are generally for the NTWA ladies only but we also have family socials. Please note that when a social is held in a member's home, child attendance is at the discretion of the hostess. We have many different committees and your membership allows you to participate in as many or as few activities as you would like. If you have a particular interest or hobby that is not listed in this directory, please contact one of our BOD members about heading up a new committee. We are very receptive to adding members and additional committees.
As a member, you will receive additional correspondence via mail and internet. Our newsletter is mailed to your home every month and you will always have access to information via the internet through our yahoo groups.
