The role of your Neighborhood Representative is important to the Staff and Board of Directors. He/she will assist the Association in making the decisions that are in the best interest of the majority of residents of New Territory.
Following are some of the responsibilities that Neighborhood Reps commit to in serving their individual neighborhoods.
 |
| Informant for your neighborhood and Advisor to the Board |
You speak on behalf and for the needs of the residents in your neighborhood. You advise the Board and assist them in making informed decisions based on the needs of your neighborhood as a whole not for a select few. |
 |
| Attend Board meetings and Neighborhood Rep luncheons |
All information regarding neighborhood issues shall be gathered at these meetings. You will then pass on the information to the residents.
Questions you may have can be asked prior to any meeting and should be directed to the appropriate staff member. You should ask questions pertinent to the discussion at hand during the meetings. Please remember to ask the staff prior to taking your concern to the Board for an answer. If we do not handle the situation or answer the question to your satisfaction by all means go to the Board. |
 |
Please discuss all problems and issues to the staff so that we may work on resolving the issue early on. Please ask questions about issues you are unsure of before commenting to avoid any confusion between homeowners and Board of Directors/staff. Refer residents to the appropriate staff member when concerns arise. Become familiar with the staff and their responsibilities. We ask that you work with the Board and the staff, we are a team working together to build a better community. |
 |
| Correspond with Management |
Typed meeting notes of the luncheon discussions will be kept in our office for Neighborhood Representatives that were not able to attend. Those in attendance will be emailed a copy of the notes. |
